Hi
I have a Nokia N82 which has a SIP client which works great over wi-fi and even Vodafone 3g. Recently I signed for Italk and tried to configure the mobile with the italk service but no luck yet. Does anyone know the settings or is it possible at all to get this working? Any info would be great. Thanks in advanceSmile

I've not used Italk, but my understanding is it's a little more closed than its sister service 2Talk is, which is also run by CallPlus.

You might like to check the 2Talk help pages where they give very clear instructions as to how to set this up, and then see if you can make the necessary changes for Italk. Or simply switch to 2Talk.

I use 2Talk with my Nokia N82 and its really robust.

I have used both in the past and it worked fine.

There is a problem with having 2 numbers for the same provider since the phone doesnt let you have 2 users at the one domain - but if you are just configuring one account there shouldnt be a problem.

Have a look on 2talks site and just substitute 2talk with the right italk server (akl.italk.co.nz was what I had to use) and the number is 649xxxxxxx not 09xxxxxxx

Public user name: 64997xxxxx@akl.italk.co.nz
use compression: no
registration: always on
use security:no

Proxy server: akl.italk.co.nz
Realm: akl.italk.co.nz
username: 64997xxxxx
password: my italk p/w
Allow loose routing : yes
transport type : udp
port: 5060

Registrar server address: akl.italk.co.nz
realm: akl.italk.co.nz
