I have a vodafone modem stick, its a Huawei K3520.

I need to use this with a 2degrees sim card and thats where Im stuck.

Im not sure if its locked, but the 2degrees 0800 number told me to try unlocking it.

At the vodafone program it says "Please insert correct SIM" Then in manage connections there is an option to view connections and then add a new one, Ive tried doing that using an IP address that 2degrees gave me and a URL of some sort(I think its the APN). But it doesnt let me use it.

I need this for a presentation after lunch so any tips/advice will be greatly appreciated!

There are other threads on this topic already. The short story is, don't use the Vodafone software. Just setup a dialup connection manually and it will work fine.

So I tried to use the ZTE K3565-Z method http://3g-modem.wetpaint.com/page/ZTE+K3565-Z+(Vodafone)

I tried the soft method but the AT command AT+ZCDRUN=8 comes up with "COMMAND NOT SUPPORT" I have no idea what to do now :/

Then I had a problem with the Join Air software, I cant get it to install whether its on the micro-SD card or on the computer. I have no idea why its not working :/

I have deinstalled the vodafone software using Revo uninstaller to remove all the leftover files.

It would be worth having a look through the forum threads listed at the bottom of that web page if you haven't already. Some others look to be having problems similar to yours. I managed to get it to work in Mac OS X with a bit of tweaking of the instructions provided.
