Hi there,

I was wondering if 2degrees provide similar service to vodafone to "freeze/suspend" the pay monthly account while you're away.  I am keen to sign on to pay monthly with 2degrees from vodafone, potentially before end of year to take advantage of the extra 100 minutes.

But I will be on holiday and out of country from 19th December to 23 January.  Traditionally Vofafone allowed me to freeze my account so I wasn't charge for the period I am away.  I was wondering if 2degrees provide similar service?  Not too fancy on paying for service that I won't be using.

Or should I just change number back to prepay and think about signing up after I return from holiday? (but missing out on the bonus minutes).

What do you think guys?

well bonus minutes don't roll over anyway, so you would be losing out on them either way.

Are you serious? 100 free minutes x 12 is a lot of free minutes your missing out on...

The bonus minutes are given every month for a year if you sign up before Dec 31. If the OP waits until he returns from his holiday, he will not be have bonus minutes at all (unless 2d extend the offer).

Personally, I would get the plan before you go, as you'll still get to use the normal plan minutes once you return, so the month's fee isn't completely wasted, and then you get bonus minutes for all of 2011.

True, but the chances of them not extending the offer (or at least not coming out with something equally as good or better) is pretty low IMO.

that offer was originallly only for people who registered their interest before they launched, then they extended it to everybody. without it, their offers are good, but not super good.

We don't have this facility at the moment but as had been mentioned, the minutes that are included in your plan(not the bonus minutes) will roll over for up to a year so you won't be losing those standard plan included minutes you are at least paying for.

Fair point... but is there any indication whether some sort of facility like this is being considered/ or can be implemented sometime in the future?

Certainly there are no plans publicly available for implementing this and I am not aware of any plans myself. Obviously if we do release it in the future, we will be making our customers aware of the change.
