Presuming you're on on prepay my suggestion would be to topup to get the free extra texts. You can't get another $10 text bundle in a month (well I don't think so anyway) so this is a way to get free by texts, either that or just pay for them at 9c per text.

This is why I love Whatsapp and Pingchat etc on my iPhone, I hardly ever use SMS any more as most friends have smart phones and have a way of texting for free :-)

Looks like it's time to spend some of that $46 credit and pay 9c a text then

The text pack is a loss plan, whereby 2d do not make any money out of it. The only reason they have the pack is to get you onto their network. There is no logical reason to make it renewable.

If you need the SMS's that desperately go and buy a new SIM. There are still numerous places selling the $2 ones.

I'm not sure what other countries you're making comparisions with because 9c is a very competitive price for a casual SMS message. Just be thankful you're not in the USA where many people can pay US 10c to receive a SMS message.

I have a feeling you expect everything for nothing. At the end of the day, all telco's are out to make money so just giving stuff away when tight arses 'run out' isn't a good business model. If you want a ridiculous amount of texts go with Telecom.

Have you tried sending STOP 10TXT to 233 and then BUY 10txt to 233?

Don't know if that will work, maybe it will, maybe it won't - you've got nothing to lose trying

Hi, this will not work as the IN will still have the current expiry date of the text pack logged against the MSISDN.

Just to reconfirm you can only buy a $10 text pack once every 30 days. At the end of the 30 day period the pack will automatically renew if you have $10 in your credit, unless of course you've text 'STOP 10txt' to 233.

Cheers

make your texts last the month.. by:

reducing your daily texting. seeing as you'd used all your texts by 16 jan, then you need to halve your average daily texts.

reduce unnecessary texts and eliminate unecessary texts eg, rather than sending multiple 1 worded texts, send a single text.

you're already getting a decent text package so use the old brain matter to figure out how to make it last since as you said, you dont want to top up as you already have "$46 credit". Quite a conundrum indeed.

think think think..
