Hi guys, first post here. I was just wondering if you could help me with this bother.

It started one week after I bought my LG Optimus p500 on 2degree's 2000TXT plan.
My inbox was at about 400 total TXT msgs, and I started receiving texts 10-40 minutes late. (Verified with the other sender) After I deleted my inbox, I started receiving txt msgs on time again.

So up until now, I've made sure my text messages inbox doesn't go over 250. (I dont even know if 250 is the limit, I've never bothered to test out the theory of *Too much msgs in inbox = late messages*)

I received text messages a day later at one stage, (during the chch earthquake. I guess 2d experienced some difficulties.)

So as long as I kept my inbox below 250 it seemed fine. However, tonight I've been receiving texts 20-30minutes late during 8pm~10pm. I'm sick of this happening and I was wondering if anyone could help me.

To recap:

  1. When my inbox was at around 400, I received SMS texts 10-40min late until I deleted my inbox.

  2. For some reason tonight at 8-10pm I received texts late even though my inbox was only around 20.

  3. Can't find any information on the internet.

Is it my phones problem? Or the 2d networks?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

It sounds like a memory storage issue with the phone but can you PM your 2D number, location and 3 examples of the late texts, number and network sent from and we can look into it.

Please incl DOB and Address logged against the account for authentication.

Cheers

Yeah, I had this issue ...and the delay lasts as long as it takes for you to realize that you need to delete stuff..

It seems that the Optimus either mismanages its temp SMS disk space -or- it just doesn't have any protection in place at all....... Iv certainly never seen any 'inbox is full' message popup....

NOTE: It only really started happening after I started using MMS heavily... could be something in that.
