HI all.
I have a VF 845 running fine on 2Degrees. It was on VF for a month or 2.
Anyway, I want to use the phone sometimes as a 3G data modem by plugging the phone into a USB port on my laptop for remoting into server etc. because, lets face it, the screen isnt really big enough when you remote into servers :-)
However, whenever I do this, it wants to connect to the VF network and I cant work out how to get it to work with 2Degrees. Ok, fair enough, the software that gets installed off the phone for this IS for the VF network, but I wondered if anyone else has got this to work when connecting to 2Degrees as a 3G data modem.

Thanks, Jeremy

Found just the ticket...PDA Net for Android. Works perfectly. Trust you've sorted your issues by now.

I gave up using the Vodafone software it was just rubbish. Just root your device and use Barnacle Wifi Tether. Works great!

If you can upgrade the 8456 to Froyo then you can just use its wireless hotspot feature. That is free and works well.

Looks like it's been done

Froyo for 845
