can i connect a dvd hard drive recorder to aerialBox T1020 and if so how,i have connect external hard drive but was curious to know if i can connect recorder, thanks

That will only give you SD picture on the TV. I'd connect the T1020 to the TV via HDMI for HD picture. Connect the T1020 to the recorder via composite A/V. Connect the recorder to the TV via HDMI for upscaled SD (assuming your recorder will upscale and your TV has multiple HDMI inputs).
