Hi there,

Finally making the jump to a flatscreen tv with in built freeview.  We currently have Telstraclear TBox with all the channels (excl Sport and movies), we also have an old sky dish on the house.

Question - Will the freeview decoder within the tv work, or will the tbox provide this feed ? If so is this feed encrypted or can it go out to another tv, or directly to the tv ?..mak sense ?

If the Tbox was to go, can the existing sky dish be used with the TV's inbuilt freeview decoder directly ??

Thanks

Dion

Just plug the tbox into your tv. The tuner in the tv will work for Freeview Terrestrial and nothing else (Sat, Sky)

As above, just plug the TBox into your new TV and you'll get all the channels.

However, if you get rid of the TBox, then you will need a UHF aerial to receive anything on your new TV. The satellite dish cant be used by your TV directly, although you could buy a separate Freeview satellite decoder instead of installing a UHF aerial.

To use the built in Freeview|HD decover you need a UHF aerial.
