Problems started a few days ago.  I would see the "Updating" message on the tv screen and intermittently the Decoder would reboot.  Buttons still working at this stage.  It seemed to be if I went to channel 12 (Choice TV) that I would get the reboot.
Last night I got continuous "Updating" message and no buttons at all....not even the standby button.  Also no remote control at all.
There were also "updating" messages on other channels, when the buttons were working.
It's possible a hardware problem but I would like to know if the "Updating" message is genuine and if anyone else is having the same problem?
Was there a frequency update a day or so ago?
Perhaps I now have a brick that just runs on TV1 with no controls at all.
Perhaps there is a "Set to original settings method"?
Any help appreciated.

I have just had the exact same problem with my JC Matthew.

The fix that seems to have worked is as follows :

Unplug the aerial, switch off the power, wait 5 mins or so, switch power back on.
You should now be able to access the menu.
Access System Settings  and reset to Factory Default, plus aerial cable back in and then rescan for channels.

this process worked for my DVB_TB01, so far so good. Be interesting to see how long its fixed tho !
