Hi all,

I recently finished Sky contract and got the satellite recorder for Freeview.
But my Satelite receiver does not pick up any Freeview channels.
When I scan FTA channels, it picks up only the channel called "INFO156E" which I cannot watch anything.

Dish set up menu is as follows:
Satelite: C_OPTUS D1

LNB Type: 10750 (I also tried 11300)
LNB Power : 13/18V
22KHz : off
Toneburst: None
DisEqC1.0: None
DisEqC1.1: None
Motor: None

(Note: I can also choose "User Dual" for LNB Type. I tried User Dual and set "LNB Low:10750/LNB High:10750" also tried "11300/11300" but result was the same.
I can only get INFO 156E.

I was watching SKY perfectly last week, and LNB was just replaced last month by Sky guy.
Can somebody give me any suggestions?

You are picking up Optus C1/D3 instead of D1.

Despite your settings showing 22kHz off, it is likely that this is somehow turned on, and is causing your LNB to select the wrong satellite.

Do you have another sat box plugged in anywhere?

Thank you so much for your comment.
I don't have any other satellite box. I turned on 22KHz, and found no difference.
After that, I turned 22kHz off again and saved the setting.

If I cannot get the signal from the OPTUS D1 even if all my setting is correct, does it mean is this sat box faulty? or, is there anything I can do with the dish or box?

If you previously received Sky from this dish, then it must be pointed at the correct satellite - Optus D1. Most LNBs on the dishes installed by Sky will receive Optus C1 when 22kHz is turned on (which is the channel you are getting).

There are a few possibilities as to why - in no particular order -

1) Dish is aimed at the wrong satellite - either deliberately moved, or moved by wind

2) Something is sending 22kHz to the LNB to get it to switch to the wrong sat - could be a faulty STB or something else connected sending this signal

3) Faulty LNB
