Hello,

Curious to know if I move to NZ from Australia...

Will the product

http://www.itopfield.com.au/product-detail.asp?idx=248#

Work

As it says MPEG4 in it . As I understand it is the same in NZ ?

No, that receiver isn't H.264 capable, which is the transport stream used by Freeview in NZ.

Even if it was, it doesn't seem to have MHEG5 support either, your EPG would be limited to current+next show only.

Well I found out

It supports MPEG-4/H.264 files.

Does this mean it would still work in NZ ? Or are there other limitations ?

According to the product specs on the Topfield website, and quick Google search, I cannot find any reference to that product supporting H.264, therefore I would be very surprised if it worked in NZ.

You would need to establish if it's switchable between 7/8MHz tuning steps. Australia is the only country in the world to use 7Mhz tuning steps.
