I have an UltraPlus 9200 HD and somehow my SMB plugin has disappeared. Can someone please point me at a link to download the plugin. The site where I bought the box no longer has the link and they are not responding to emails.

TIA
Alan

2.11.70

To connect to the PVR with wifi. The purpose is to provide back up for the hard drive (had one fail previously and lost all my recorded programmes). I have previously used samba.

2.11.70 was released back in 2013. Its very old ! The Current firmware is version  2.12.18, I would recommend upgrading and doing a factory reset. I think the SMB plugin is obsolete, you can definitely record to another device on the network through the menus although i've not tried it on mine.

There is also the DLNA function where the Ultraplus will appear as a DLNA server or you can use it to playback from other DLNA sources.

2.11.70 was also the version where divx playback was disabled. They re-enabled it in later releases,

That would mean sending the box back to the supplier wouldn't it? I am not getting replies to communications so that is not likely and it would mean losing the box two weeks or so (ie no tv for that period). Courier there, do install, courier back.

I know when an earlier firmware release came out, when I asked for it the supplier refused to send it and would only do a bench install.

In the meantime, I still need the samba plugin to back up the programmes, regardless of whether I get the upgrade.

Unless there is someone local to Auckland who can do it faster, but I don't know anyone.

No its simple, and designed be user upgradeable.

Download 2.12.18 here
http://www.mediafire.com/download/1momb1fjghih7q7/UltraPlus+X9200+Xcriser+interface.v2.12.18.20150515.ird

Copy .ird file to a usb memory stick ( I prefer to freshly format the memory stick first)

Turn receiver off by power switch at the back

insert memory stick in usb port at the front

Turn receiver on by power switch at the back while holding the Channel+ button on the front of receiver
once you see scan usb you can release the Ch+ button

when all is completed power off receiver at back and unplug stick

then power back on..

Then you need to do a factory reset! to reset everything to defaults. (don't panic nothing ever deletes your recordings)

as for recordings they are in  <x=insert receiver i.p>
\\192.168.1.x\storage\HDD

You can access it via your webbrowser just drag the .ts files to you pc or wherever you want them or use ftp

Nice. Thanks.

I assume after that I will need to recreate the service listings.

Yes you will probably need to rescan the Freeview transponders and sort the channel list to your liking.

Now this version is a little different to the previous old one. When I play recorded programmes, subtitles are Auto by default and Auto seems to want to play subtitles. I want to turn subtitles off by default.

Is there a link to a manual download for this version?

Press the subtitle button on your remote and set it to OFF

I do that but they come on for every recorded programme. Gets pretty tedious, pretty fast, to turn off subtitles every time I start one. That is why I want to reset the global or default option.

As with many folk these days, I tend to only watch programmes that are recorded.
