Ok I'm trying to tune in this new 2017 UHD 4K UJ65 'Smart' TV with built in Freeview, I've googled & utubed but can't seem to find any help. I run through the normal prompts but no avail. I'm running off a sat dish through sky cable (I think - it screws on with skinny pin head). The satellite it picks up is Optus D1 160.0E, LNB Frequecy 11300. Does the cable connection need a convert to uhd? I'm stuck? Please help!!

It doesn't tune Satellite. Only Terrestrial. Where do you live? Do you receive Terrestrial?

Try changing the LNB frequency to 10750 - that's probably a little more common than the 11300.

If I've got the correct model number, it does have a DVB-S2 tuner. http://www.lg.com/nz/tvs/lg-49UJ654V

And if it says it's picking up D1 then it must have a tuner.

Have a look at http://www.freeviewnz.tv/get-freeview/get-freeview/ and go into the coverage checker. At the moment the satellite dish on your hose won't be able to be used by your TV (you'll need a satellite receiver for this) but as @Batman says if you're in an area that offers Freeview|HD you're best to get an aerial installed on your roof by a local installer which will work with your TV.

Freeview|HD is better in the sense it offers a clearer picture. With Satellite it isn't high definition. It is worth getting an aerial installed if you don't already have one.

Edit: Heck didn't know that some TV's have satellite tuners too. Still the above applies from me :)

@Bjmk, if this is the TV you have http://www.lg.com/nz/tvs/lg-49UJ654V then it can work fine on a satellite dish connection (old Sky dish). It doesn't give as good a picture as if you can use a UHF antenna, but that's a problem for a different day! Get it working so you can watch it first.

First try changing the LNB frequency to 10750 (from 11300), and see if that helps. If not, can you upload a picture of the settings page, or list the options that it has, and we should be able to help out.

Can you try 12483 H 22500 for the transponder?

Tried no luck :(

Has it got anything to do with the cable connector? I've plugged it in "Satellite In" because that's the only place it would fit.
There is another port "Antenna In" but it's a uhf connector.

That will be plugged into the correct place.

What about if you go back to 11300 for the LNB then try 12483 H 22500 for the transponder?
