Hi,
I'm looking to buy HVR4000 and watch encrypted austrlian channels , that require IRDETO card reader.
I would rather use PC for this then DBT-S standalone tuner.
Question- what card reader will be able to accept IRDETO card and me as a result watch subscribed cannels with HVR4000?
Would this JayCars model, do the thing, if not which one? KC5361 Smart Card Programmer (  http://www.jaycar.co.nz/productView.asp?ID=KC5361&CATID=&keywords=smart+card&SPECIAL=&form=KEYWORD&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=&Keyword2=&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID= )
Cheers
Jozef

Will this be a cloned card?

Hi,
I did not even thought that I could use cloned card..
No, I'll be subscribing to one of 3 european channells on Optus D2, and the company that sell the subscription, PUMAMEDIA, require IRDETTO card reader.
Thank you for you reply.

What TV software are you using? Most software will work with any Phoenix capable unit so it probably would work.

Hauppauge sell their own CI units but I wouldn't imagine they are available in NZ.

Hi, I can use amy freeware software or CyberLink PowerCinema that come with card, does not really matter, whatever is best.
Still, if you could advise which CI reader available in NZ would do the work, will be appreciated.
