Hi all,
Long time reader, first time poster.
I have a very confusing and frustrating scenario happening at home. I have a Samsung TV in the lounge and also one in the bedroom. When the TV in the lounge is on, the TV in the bedroom works fine. When the TV in the lounge is switched off, the TV in the bedroom loses reception. This happens everytime. If the TV in the bedroom is turned on by itself, it doesn't pick up any channels. I have switched the connectors at the antenna splitter but the same thing happens.
I have a third TV (DSE brand). This TV loses reception when the lounge TV is switched off but comes back when turned off/on.
If i turn the DSE TV on by itself it finds channels as usual.
I have tried to find somewhere about powering the satellite from the TV signal but have found no luck.
I have a fair understanding on how TV signals work and I like to think I can solve all problems, but this is really confusing me.
My questions are:
Why do the TVs lose reception when the lounge TV is turned off?
Why does the bedroom TV only find channels when a second TV is on?
Is this usual?
Thank you for reading my novel. Any help is greatly appreciated.
