Cant get TV3 and C4 on freeview

I live in the city apartment of auckland, without freeview , i can receive tv1,2,3 c4,Maori, Juice TV, Prime, Trangle, and the horse racing channels,

After set up the freeview, only get TV1,2 6,7 .

the tv3,c4 Maori, Parliament tv are in the list, but there is no signal for them. i try to do the manual tune, but i dnt knw the channel No. and Frequency.

My freeview box is DSE G7503.

any one can tell me the channel and frequency for C4 and TV3?

thanks, you got a nice manager, i will ask mine as well,

but juz wondering can you gimme the channel # and frequency? i juz wanna try the manual tuning.

is that possible i install a splitter , one cable go to the tv directly, one cable go to the freeview box, is it gonna help ? coz i saw http://www.av1.co.nz/updates/?cat=8 but i m not sure whether it will work in the apartment.

David as the linked thread indicated, the issue is how the MATV system in your building has been configured, a splitter wont help.

Normally I dont recommend indoor antennas but you may find it a workable option in an apartment, you may have two transmitter options, depending on what side of the building you are on, Sky Tower which is vertical and a low power transmitter, so only good if you are within a few blocks of it. And Waitarua which is the tall mast on the Waitakari ranges to the west, this is horizontal. Ross's link above has the frequencies for each.

The Dick Smith L4017 ($39) would do the trick, you will need to orientate the antenna for vertical or horizontal depending on which transmitter you are aiming at, it is shown horizontal in the DSE website picture. Also I recommend you remove of fully fold up the rabbit ears, these are for VHF reception and best removed if possible.

Thanks Cyril,

This morning , C4 and TV3 juz come up, but the picture is broken or stutter sometimes, but better than nothing.

I will see if the signal is stable enough, otherwise i will go to dick smith buy the L4017 as you suggested, many thanks
