Hey guys,

I was just wondering... I just have standard TV (no freeview), but I can pick up some of the sky channels (in particular Sky Movies). I can hear the sound fine, although the picture quality is scrambled and is not decoded.

I was wondering if its possible, if I were to buy a decoder to view the picture? Or is there any application I can download for my PC to decode the image (I have a Media Center PC with video-in)?

Thanks,

Bobbobagan

You're picking up the old sky UHF service. You can buy a sky UHF decoder, though obviously at a montly subscription fee. Quality is rather crap and it isnt widescreen.

or you could buy a set top box and pick up the digital sky channels for free
you will get a digital encrypted picture and more channels

This sounds like trying to get free Sky which is against the FUG so I'm locking this thread - if this is not what you intended, please PM me and I will unlock this thread.
