Hi,
I was playing around with my parents Strong srt 3650 system.

I was playing around with the zoom function.

I couldn't get out off the zoom function so i decided to restore it to factory default settings hoping it would bring it back to normal, it didn't.

Infact it remove all of my channels and now all i get is a sign saying "Notice" "No Channel"

Can someone please help me put it back to normal.

Thanks, joelb975

You will need to set the LNB settings, maybe select "Optus D1" as the satellite, and then scan the following transponders:

    freq=12456mhz polarity=Horizontal symbol-rate=22500
    freq=12483mhz polarity=Horizontal symbol-rater=22500

Most likely your LNB is a 11300mhz or 10750mhz.

You might need to download the product manual if you don't have one. The download page doesn't list your model, but it may be helpful to download a manual for a product with a similar model number e.g. SRT 3680.

This thread at the Freeviewshop forum might be helpful, although for a different Strong model:

Also, it mentions Optus B1 which has been replaced by Optus D1.

I have the manual that came with it.
How do I use it?

If all you did was reset to factory settings, than you probably haven't killed the box. You can still power it up and access the menus, right? Have you got a product manual?

You need to go into Antenna Setup and type in the details of your LNB. Antenna type is probably "fixed". You can try LNB frequency=10,750mhz first, LNB type is perhaps "single" or "Ku". Then search using the Channel Search menu. If no channels are found, try 11,300mhz for the LNB type and try again. You will need to select Optus B1/D1 for the satellite.

LNB power probably needs to be "on".

$40 seems ok for someone to tune in a STB. The box isn't broken by the sounds of things, it's just had it's settings reset to factory. If the person comes out to your house, you might be able to get the dish alignment and LNB skew checked - this might cost extra though. The signal levels should in the stb should indicate if it needs this done though.
