I have just bought a Digistar DSS-811u off trademe and installed it but can't pick up any channels.  I have an existing Mysky box working on the dish with LNB setting 11300, so know the dish os ok.  I have tried to set up the 811u using same setting but no go.  The manual is pretty hopeless.

Can anyone tell me what settings they have used?

I have gone into Antenna setup and tried a number of different option but never see any Signal on the Q meter on the bottom of the screen.

Settings currently used:
Satellite = Optus D1
LNB = Universal
LNB Low = 11300
LNB High = 11300
TP = (1)12456
DiSEqC = Disable
0/12v = 0v
22KHz = Auto
LNB Power = off  (i undersand because I have the Mysky decode this should be off as it will be powering it?)

Have also tried Bland Scan but also no go.

How have you connected everything together? Is the MySky box powered up?

Shouldn't the TP be 11300 not 12456?

I had presumed TP=transponder.

Anyways, here are the transponders on Optus D1 with FTA stuff:
Freeview: freq=12456, pol=H, sr=22500
Freeview: freq=12483, pol=H, sr=22500
Sky: freq=12671, pol=H, sr=22500

Hi,
I have MYski HDI and a 811U connected and working,
Are you trying connected directly to the ant cable or through a splitter?
The settings I have on the 811 are:
Antenna Setting
Satellite: 1.Optus D1
LNB type: User
LNB Low: 10750
LNB High:10750
TP: (2) 12483
DisEqc Disable
0/12V: 0V
22Khz Off
LNB Power: On

Transponder screen
001 12456 HOR 22500
002 12483 HOR 22500

Cheers

There is a Splitter under the floor that splits the cable from the dish to 3 different rooms.  I tried running from one of the other rooms but when I had no luck, I moved it to the cable where MySky is running so I could eliminate a cabling issue but still no go.  The MySky box has a second splitter out the back, breaking the sinlge cable from the wall into two connecting to the 2 LNB connectors on the back of the Sky box.

Have now gone back to other room.  The MySky is powered up and working.

Thanks Gumboot, looks like my settings are the same except LNB Power: On I will try that again and see if I get anywhere.

There are 2 'meters' at the bottom of the Antenna Setup screen, Q: and L   - I am assuming these measure Signal Quality & Strength or something?  ...and I should see something on these meters if I am getting a signal?

I thought it may be the fact I have the old disk with the single transponder that runs on 11300 ?  But looks like Gumboot is workign fine on 11300.

Perhaps divide and conquer the problem? You could try unplugging the MySky completely from the setup, and make sure that you can get the 811u working ok by itself. Once working ok, you could try getting both working together.

It may be the splitter that is causing the problem, check this post:

To get mine to work I needed a splitter with a power bypass, so the freeview box didn't screw up mysky.
