Hi - I am just wondering if any Freeview Digital Terrestial (i.e. from the Port Hills Sugaloaf Transmitter) viewers in Christchurch area were experiencing mini outages (No service for up to 15 seconds?) on TV1 TV2 etc last night (Saturday 6th Feb) around 10.30pm to 11.30pm period??  I also noted a few outage issues on TV1/2 on the analogue channels as well, so. I suspect transmission link or Transmitters issues to/at Sugarloaf? Any comments appreciated..... Cheers

had couple of messages pop up on the tivo saying something like 'problem with this antenna channel, trying again'.
there were a few moments when the picture was either jumpy or incomplete as well.
i figured the same as you, a momentary glitch of transmission. all seems well now tho!

I had the same all channels freezing and skipping every so often, for up to 15 seconds some time. Signal strength was fine. Sometime got a message "Channel Temporarily Unavaliable" which is different to the No Signal message.

Thanks Guys for the feedback - certainly seems to confirm my suspicion that it was a kordia/trans carrier transmission/transmitter issue and not localised to my receiver. Could be a fading issue on their microwave trans backbone - Hopefully it will settle down again now.  Cheers
