I have a Sanyo TUHD1010 UHF freeview decoder purchased from The Warehouse. It has been working well but a few months ago "Service Information Changed" started appearing on the TV 1 and Chinese TV channels. The notice appears in a blue pop up window for about 3 seconds, disappears then reappears about 7 seconds later - ad infinitum. Sound stops while the message is displayed.

The problem has since stopped for TV 1 but is still happening on the Chinese TV channel. I have read the decoder manual but this is not mentioned. I have retuned and tried factory reset.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Colin

It might be a faulty unit but it superficially sounds like a broadcast / receiver compatibility issue.

Not yet, but that seems like the next step. I'd like to understand what it is trying to tell me...

Thanks for your reply.

Freeview transmit a data carousel which has firmware in it for some model recievers. Perhaps something has changed their which your unit isn't happy with? Else, probably just a faulty unit which should be replaced under warranty.

I can't find any reference to this problem anywhere else so it certainly looks like my unit. On the other hand all the channels except Chinese TV and Parliament work fine. It feels more like software than hardware.

Anyway I'll take it back to the shop. Thanks for your input.
