I there, I looking to chain the our site from a manual type system to a automated system. I am not tech savvy enough to know what type of system/web platform? I require. What I am wanting to do. Our new website is to host tour operators product, they should be able to access there information and make changes. When a customer purchases one of the listed tours, the order and any dialogue goes directly to the operator. The transaction needs to go two ways. 10% into our bank account and 90% into the operators.

There are websites which do this already i.e bookit , what system to they use?

Sorry if the terminology is not correct....

Thanks for your help

Andy

I'm not quite understanding what you're saying/asking but let me take a stab...

  1. You want a website where tour operators can login and customise their own products (or tours)?
  2. Customers can then come along and buy said products (or tours)?
  3. Once they have paid 10% goes to you and the rest to the operator?
If they are doing tours then I guess you will need a booking system mixed with a bit of an ecommerce system.

I highly doubt these large companies use a generic system as such and a lot of them would be built specifically for them. So the chances of finding something 'out of the box' would be unlikely.

Although a quick google search has come up with a couple of options:
http://www.tourcms.com/features/30secondpitch.php
http://www.phptourscript.com/package-tour-script-features.php
http://www.rezgo.com/features/

Again these are probably not exactly what you need but the basic idea exists.

You probably need a developer to talk to.
