Hi,

Just wondering if anyone else has run into probs with Domains 4 Less's new Linux hosting using wordpress. Im not getting much luck with replies from them. Any sites I have under their old hosting work perfectly fine, yet anything on the new linux hosting has upload errors when adding images into the media manager. I have checked file permissions, done a fresh install from scratch instead of using their one click installs. They are really slow on the uptake helping and I figured that I cant be the only one have problems (3 new sites, 3 lots of the same problem) Anyone come across this yet??? Thanks smile

You say it is new, how is it new and how do you know it is new? Do they use CPanel? FastCGI ?  Don't they have a support line you can call for support, I think it is a 0900 one as it is user pays.? How about contacting them over twitter or facebook, as you will then see if other people are having the same problems?

the new hosting system is about 3 months old. Facebook page is no longer, have contacted them via twitter, they use CPanel and Fast CGI, and are impossible to reach on the phone.

I was hoping it would be an easy fix on something their end, but am guessing not. And surely I cant be the only one having probs, but I cant see anything on twitter in relation to it.

I think I will swap companies now, since they were taken over by digiweb? their support is pretty non existent

I used to recommend these guys but pulled all of my business with them late last year when they couldn't sort out a simple billing issue in a reasonable timeframe.

So yep looks like they've got major issues with support - is this another 24/7 hosting in the making?

I've got 5 domains with them - they took about 8 minutes to answer the phone today to sort out a refund, which they say will take a few days.

Might have to find a better registrar.

I am wondering if it is another in the making, when I went into my advanced domain panel, i noticed that there were domains unpaid for that I had paid for....not sure how that works

I used to recommend them too, they were fantastic! Im in the process of moving the 3 that are on the new linux hosting cos of the issues, but am thinking I should move all my other sites too for just incase (those dont have any issues)

I like to keep: domain registration, email hosting and web hosting separate, as this gives you more control when things go pear shaped.

Say you have a problem with your web host just point the domain elsewhere, problem with your email change mx records... problem with your registrar transfer the domains elsewhere and re-add the records needed.

All in one options tend to have the same "master of none" problem all in one modem/routers have imo.

I understand that people use an all in one system reseller web hosting cpanel type system for convenience if your volume of customers is high enough but otherwise it's actually safer to DIY.
