Who has the best value Rack Space in Auckland?
Looking for 1U, with redundant internet and power (goes without saying), and onsite technical knowledge for escalated faults.
I want to also be able to access tin when hardware upgrades are required.

Ultimately installing Centos, Quad Core, 2x 120GB SSD raided, 16BG RAM.
Current Hardware I am looking at Dell PowerEdge R630.
Pricing I am looking for is either rent Space and Hardware or just Space.

I hope people can share some pricing and value add info.
Or worst case company info and contacts.

Cheers.

Not sure it this is the best forum, if not, happy to move to a more appropriate forum.

I cannot see how to update my subject to make it more obvious.

Generally speaking, in the hosting retail market. The cost of a 1U colo is between 160-230/nzd month.

You probably may want to elaborate what value is for you though, is it cheapest cost? Access to good techs, or the ability to leverage the providers other services - such as SAN/WAN etc.

You could start with buying me new glasses so I can read your post properly.  :)

The project never went ahead, but I found the responsiveness and pricing of the KiwiLink team to be pretty good when I was asking a year ago.  http://os.kiwilink.co.nz/web-hosting.php

It's hard to find a company which will give you unaccompanied access for 1u. The first time we got server hosting it was at ICONZ datacentre just off of Symonds street and we could have unaccompanied access. Mostly for less than half a rack you would go through a reseller who rents centre space. I would suggest Sitehost or maybe webslice? stay away from "HD". When I was in the industry servers that people switched from that datacenter to ours would come minus parts e.g. PSUs which were there when they went in.
