I don't like touchscreen readers but I think I'll be getting the 3G Paperwhite, and Wifi Only Tablet. 8.9 @ 1900x1200 is insane! Just so happens I'll be in the USA right after release as well!

What's the NZ release date? Hoping for one that doesn't need a power adaptor

Not entirely sure, they don't even know at Amazon, thankfully I'll be in the USA from the 10th-24th so I'll be getting one there. They couldn't even tell me which retailers, if any would have the Kindle and or FireHD!

If, and that's a big 'if' based on past experience, they start selling the FireHD here in NZ it could be a good competitor for the Nexus7.

The thing is that Amazon is on record saying that the FireHD, and all their tablets really, are based on the idea you buy content from Amazon.

That means Amazon would need to be considering a content service here.

I say 'Yay' to this because I think our legal online content options are pitiful, sure QuickFlix are doing the best they can but it still isn't much.

That would be a major departure from the last few years, hope it happens.

Didn't anybody tell you I was a hacker?
