I've had a problem updating my S2 (GT-i9100T) to Jellybean half way through and need an expert to help me. You will be rewarded

It's not bricked as I can still access the download screen by pressing the the 3 buttons together but Kies doesn't recognize it and won't connect and it just flashes a connect to pc icon.

Download the right ROM from Sammobile.com and flash with Odin.

Plenty of advice and a good guide on XDA-Forums

Download the 4.1.2 file from above
Install and open Odin
Put your phone into download mode and plug in via USB
Flash the file using the 'PDA' button in Odin

Have you tried connecting with Kies when in Download mode? If so, try an emergency install via Kies.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Wow - thanks for the quick reply.

I'll try to do that tonight if no one can help locally as I don't want to stuff it up and wreck it.

Not these days....

There is always risks with flashing but Odin is generally pretty safe. There are safeguards in place like checksum validating and it won't flash to the device that isn't ready to receive the rom.

But make sure your device is fully charged. If it went flat during the flash you may well brick it.
