Hi everyone,

I have an S4 with a smashed front screen (just the glass), and have been quoted $400 to fix it.
Obviously I don't use the phone and quite like tinkering with things, so I had thought that I would try and fix it myself.

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy the glass screen from?

Thanks in advance

If it's just the front glass, I'd have a look on Fishpond. I got an S3 front glass there for about $20 shipped, though it came from overseas and took about 2 weeks to arrive.

$400 sounds pretty steep for just the glass. I'm pretty sure a colleague just got his fixed for about $130.

You can get this done cheaply enough at most mall phone fixer-upper shops.  My iPhone glass was $95 installed, can't see a Samsung being much more.
