Hi there,

Just wondering if someone could let me know if this phone, https://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/mob/4828150607.html would be okay on local carriers? Regarding frequencies, GSM, CDMA ect...

2G 900Mhz and 1800Mhz
3G / WCDMA 850, 900 and 2100
4G / LTE band 3 1800Mhz and band 28 700Mhz and 2600Mhz (not sure of band number)

Think I have got them all

And remember that Spark and Skinny have no 2G network.

Thanks for the tech specs guys.

Skinny seems the popular choice so I'm eyeing them.

So the phone must support WCDMA 850MHz (and 2100MHz, but not as important 850MHz)

Edit: Again, note this is WCDMA, not GSM. Forget GSM when it comes to Spark and Skinny

2100 is essential on skinny/spark. Its not just infill, its all there is in some places at some times of day.

You'll also need to factor in unlocking the phone as most US phones are locked.

The listing says
"Unlocked HTC One
No scratch, no damage. Looks like new with original box charger and USB cable.
Used on AT&T network and able to use on any GSM worldwide."

So unlocked and X AT&T it should work OK here at least on 3G..

IMO By the time you add in:

The Cost of the Phone,
Shipping,
GST & Import Duty,
and the fact you have no warranty nor will it work correctly on all NZ bands you're better off buying locally.
