Just paid Vodafone to unlock my Vodafone Samsung Galaxy A10, and have successfully linked it with a new SIM and my existing number on 2 Degrees, who suggested I do a factory reset before using it on 2 degrees network.

Will this also reinstall the Vodafone Network Lock?

TIA

Nope, it will stay unlocked after a factory reset. The SIM unlock status is stored on a different partition to the user data that's wiped when factory resetting and is thus not affected. Be a real pain if it was eh!

One of my unlocked Alcatels reverted to being locked after a factory reset ...

Reset successful - phone still unlocked. Big relief.

Good to hear it went well.  I should have mentioned that the Alcatel I mentioned above is a "feature" phone, as opposed to a smart phone - I expect that to be the crux of the issue :-)

Cheers!
