Hi
A update appeared in Kies for my Telecom I5503T. I started the update all went well until the yellow "downloading" triangle appeared on the phone then suddenly nothing happened. It has been sitting with the triangle and Keis showing "connecting" for over 30 minutes now. At what point do I give up and take it back to Dick Smith? or is there something I can do to recover the phone?

unplug, take the battery out put it back in and it should go but not be updated - remember that the official update is not 2.2 it's simply an update to 2.1

if it won't boot post back and i'll try and help

Doesnt Kies have an emergency firmware recovery tool? If Kies can recognize the phone in that tool you could give that a shot.

Thanks for your replies. I did the emergency recovery thing and alls good complete with the update. Is there any likelihood of 2.2 in the future?

You can put 2.2 on it now if you want but the official update you may see it this month but these things seem to take forever!
