I recently bought a Telecom HTC Wildfire S.

I have not been able to get the HTC Synch to work.  My PC (running Windows XP) does not recognise the phone as an external drive as it is supposed to.

I downloaded the HTC Synch application from the HTC site and loaded it onto my PC, and set the phone as per the HTC instructions (ie USB Connection : HTC Synch).

No dice.  When I run HTC Synch it just tells me that no device is connected.

In the meantime I have been synchronising to Outlook and doing file transfers with another application called MyPhoneExplorer which works ok, but is not as integrated as I expect HTC Synch would be if it worked.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?
