i have a galaxy ace and we upgraded thrrough Kies.  We have had no end of trouble ...eg cannot send txt on 3g and now Im not able to download from Andriod market.

so, we wont to put it back to 2.2 but i have been on Kies and have had no luck in trying to do this.  Anyone know what to do or where to go?.  If this fails then i will look at SIM faults

Strange - Comments I have seen tend to suggest that 2.3.5 is probably the best/most stable of the 2.3 release family. I have 2.3.3 on an ACE and its been rock solid.

Can you access other sites via 3G/web browser?

IS the 3G data turned on? - When you hold the power button to switch off one of the options lets you go into flight mode/disable 3G data. Its not in flight mode or had the 3G data disabled has it?

websites world wide say there was a glitch with it but was suppose to be fixed in october.  you have to have data deactivated and put it on 2g for it to send txt.

A factory reset should sort out problems with a new firmware install. Sometimes an upgrade can 'break' existing settings....and the factory reset to th defaults will fix it. Yes, it is an annoyance and there is some inconvenience....but the payoff is a phone that works fine and should stay that way. I'm usually happy with the result.

No way it would be a SIM card issue

It's not related to what carrier you are on but place of purchase,

If purchased from Vodafone NZ then yes 2.3.3 is the latest approved version

bummer! it was purchased locally (noelleeming).
i looked at 2.3.5 release notes i saw there are improvements to camera and really hoped it would fix blurry shots especially with video mode.
