Long story short, cancelled sky and the decoder was collected start of November. As the account was in credit attempted numerous times to get this credit refunded however eaxh time get an automated response from sky stating the decoder has not been received therefore refund not able to be done.
Anyone else had an issue with this with sky as well? Seems absolutely absurd that the decoder that was returned 3 months ago via a sky provided bag with tracking is unable to be found “at the warehouse”.

If its been marked as being delivered to them, then them losing it is their problem, not yours IMO.

I've seen a lot of people having issues with decoders going "missing" after being returned...

Also read the fine print of your contract - may find they don't need to "refund" you but hold your credit as that, credit with them. Hopefully not but worth checking....

I had to return a skybox recently, they send me an email when they received it. Presumably not the case for you.

We had friends with a similar experience recently - this must be sky's MO.

My initial reaction was that they should have taken a photo of the tracking when they dropped it at the courier. But in all fairness, who thinks of doing this? In the end they called sky and asked for the tracking number. It got resolved pretty quickly at that point.

its a very old ploy. even the techs had that problem. the warehouse would refuse to sign anything to say it was returned but they made you sign if you picked anything up. everything is done in their favor.
