I have a Motorola V525; I want to access the internet from my laptop while
travelling. So what i understand is that you can use the bluetooth
technology to enable communication between the phone and the laptop.
Now, my phone is using the GPRS gateway; I have heard three things:-
* The speed will be the same speed as my WAP browsing (then the
connection will be real slow on my laptop)
* When using GPRS you could go up to 33.6Kbps.
* GPRS will connect @ 115.2Kbps but will give you download speeds about 56K
From what i understand the phone must've a built in modem; and it'll be the
same speed for both WAP and browsing Internet via bluetooth. BUT then what's
the point??? it will be real slow as WAP pages are like 1/10 the size of
real pages and still the phone has to send and recive data for about 20secs.
IF SO; what speed is the modem in the V525, IF NOT; Which one of the three
statements above are correct; IF NOT could some pls. resolve my problem
(BASICALLY, What's the speed of the V525 modem??) as Vodafone New Zealand
has no idea.
Thanx alot. All help appreciated.
