SepticSceptic: For plasterboard cavities, I prefer the wallmate type plasterboard anchors. Toggles always seem to need a bigger hole than necessary.
You can get either metal or plastic wallmate, and in bulk lots. Though you do need to find a suitable long screw if you get the bulk box
mattwnz: I would be wary of the quality of stuff you buy off some of the overseas sites, as they may not be up to the same quality as the NZ ones. eg weaker metals and plastics. I have purchased cheaper toggles before and the metal fractured very easily.
rosnic0: I use a plastic anchor (as do a lot of sparkies). You first drill a 6mm hole and then screw the anchor into the gib/plasterboard. The anchor will then
accept a screw to hold something firmly to the wall. We use them a lot for installing towell rails in bathrooms. Very cheap and I buy 100 at a time.
