You can get solder on BNC, some of them are way easier to fit than they used to be.

Never had good luck with those, the dilectric will normally take a lot of damage in the process and the ones that the sheild is soldered thru a little hole normally the whole plug takes so much heat away that it doesnt stick without cooking everything.

That's true, they will be a challenge if your soldering skills are so bad a joint looks like a teen-ager's face.
Always worked for me but I was paid to do that kind of thing so I had lots of practice.

Judging the correct heat to use and having a decent size and powered iron will help greatly.

What kind of cable is it, you can get RG 59 and RG6/BNC connectors and adapters, then you could cut it off and crimp another one on.

End solution, which was far simpler than I'd planned, was to run the cable across the polycarbonate and up into a join between two sheets, so using the higher sheet of polycarbonate as flashing for the lower sheet of polycarbonate, and the cable run down where the join was. Then I added three cable ties rotated so the tails bent down into the troughs on the polycarbonate as drip loops, so water can't follow the cable down under the flashing. End result was I needed zero cable glands or anything else (dammit, after getting assorted cable glands already).

If that's too unclear, I can try and draw a diagram...
