Hi there,
I had knew cutting sugar and carbs would be key but kept failing after a few months. This had been going on since I tried the Protein Power Plan in the 90s.
Then I followed this advice from Dr Berg on YT:
- 1tsp each apple cider vinegar + lemon juice in a full glass of water (reduces cravings dramatically + helps other things). Because I'm a freakin carb junkie I drank this throughout the day.
- added a kale smoothie as per Dr Bs recommendation. Later I began having up to three of these each day.
- drank less water as per Dr Bs advice. Really!!
- noted his video on cravings and what they mean you are deficient in. Chocolate is a magnesium deficiency incidentally.
I find the fasting (and therefore autophagy) came naturally with no struggle after these were implemented.
Additionally I bunched all snacks/coffee into three main meals when still eating wheat and sugar. This further reduced cravings.
Hope it helps a fellow geek :)
