Anything I could possibly want from there is excluded :(

I was feeling the same when I saw it excluded LEGO :(

O.k so if you buy two things the same price and you get 50% off the second item then your getting the same as getting those two items at 25% off each item.

Lego is always discounted to 25% every month or so.

Just another ploy to get you buying.

I put in an order at 1AM or so, on the day, credit card has been charged, but no confirmation email. Not showing in order history either.

We shall see what happens.... hopefully two iPads will arrive on my doorstep in a day or two :-)

That is quite normal for the warehouses poor online service. Wouldnt suprise me if they arrive from 2 different stores with wildly different packaging styles.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Why, yes........  I don't have a marketing degree but I believe that's pretty much the idea behind sales promotions.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Actually the warehouse seems to changed their pricing strategy. It seems that they aren’t running discounts in store anymore like they used to. Insyead they seem to have reduced their pricing on many items. For example, with your example of lego, they seem to have reduced the white sticker price by about 25 percent. I went into a store today and a set that was previously 39.95 is now 30 dollars, and that isn’t a promotional price. That was across the board with lego pricing.

The thing is that as it wasn’t on special, I didn’t think it was a good deal, until I compared the pricing with farmers and the lego online store, which the rrp was 25 percent more.

You probably didn't think it was a good deal because it's not a good deal ;-) It would be, if RRP wasn't inflated by more than 25% in the first place.

I hadn't noticed this but in the last few years the warehouse has become over-priced to the extent that I would find better quality items at Farmers for the same "RRP" then wait for a sale.

This was most applicable for children's clothing. Maybe the Warehouse has found they need to sharpen their pencil!

They have gone down the Kmart way of pricing, low pricing every day and no real sales.  Which is kind of refreshing to see.  I had notice that the prices at the warehouse have been going up for the last few years and sales every few days to bring them back down.

I'd say this is clearly a deliberate strategy to try to head off K-Mart, given the apparent increased popularity of the chain - I say apparent as I wonder how much of this is K-Mart generated versus actually reality (think of the publicity they got over the crowds at the opening of their new Petone store; the social media 'influencers' that have spilled over into supposed reporting in the MSM, eg the reporting of this most amazing vacuum cleaner - and the evidence is clear K-Mart is using dodgy tactics),

This new approach by The Warehouse to mimic K-Mart was reinforced to me when I  recently did a short Colmar Brunton survey - so clearly focused on getting feedback on how successfully this new approach was working for TWG.

It would actually be good if all those retailers that have followed variations of the Kathmandu model of pricing returned to a more traditional model - seriously, who bothers buying anything from shops like Kathmandu and Briscoes unless the items are significantly discounted?

Since you have access to price history and competing offers easily while shopping now, relying on people being stupid and seeing 40-60% off and assuming that its a great deal are long gone. Took the warehouse a while to figure it out but perhaps they only have old fashioned accounting types setting policy there?
