Hi, say you buy a product online and you choose the "Bank Transfer" method how does it work?

I choose this method and it put me to a page with my details/ shipping adress, invoice and such. At the bottom it has the information to transfer the money to, like the bank account number and name.

But my question is how are they suppose to know my iteam has been paided for if I transfer the money to there company bank. I just says the information to send the money but they have know way of telling what the money is for and that the money is for the product I want to buy.

Some one please explain.

Thank you.

And is there a bank transfer fee? With ASB bank.

Yes it says "Please use the last four digits of the order number and your name as a reference on your transfers, or on the reverse of your cheque."

Is this bank transfer hand written? So I just have to add the 4 numbers of my order ID and my name, some where on the form?

If you were using internet banking such as "pay anyone" or whatever your banks bill payment facility is called.  You would enter your name in the Business Name/Your Name field.

Then there is probably another box that says Message/reference which is where you enter your order id or whatever the supplier wants to see.

The supplier would then check their statements the following morning after pruchase (due to overnight processing)and then match it up with your purchase order.
