A charity I do some pro bono consulting for would like to have an eftpos terminal at some of the events they host during the year (3 or 4 max).

Does anyone know if you can hire a eftpos terminal for a week period, or would it be cheaper for them to signup for one for the whole year?

They also don't have a merchant account, so is it safe to assume they'll need one of those, or does someone offer a "holding" service for funds?

In Chch we use a firm called Canterbury Eftpos - We use them for the Home show at the westpac centre - I have some details at work if you are Chch based - Not sure if they do out of town.
Cheers
Edit: Our event is 3 days - Not sure about account details - Can find out Monday though.

Perfect.  Their next event is in Blenheim, and the course director flys Melbourne to Christchurch so he could pickup on his way.  If you could PM me some details that'd be great
