Check my sig - It states I use onboard ATI HD3200

I get heavy CPU useage, the display on the front of my HTPC varies from 30-80% on TV3.  However the picture is fine, no freezing or drop outs etc.  I get the occasional mediaportal crash but not very often.  I don't get motion blurr.  Everything seems better since i turned UAC off.  I run the powercinema codec, but get similar results with ffdshow.  I wish hardware acceleration worked, however mediaportal runs fine.  I actually wonder if I would be better off running GBPVR, as I think that be more compatible with EVR.  At one stage EVR did work with mediaportal and i was getting around 20-30% on TV3, however EVR now makes my computer crash.

I imagine that mediaportal / vista / evr / ati will eventually sort out their problems, and i don't want to spend more money on htpc

Another 2x fixes here, don't know if its useful or not.

SYMPTOMS

When you configure the video functionality to use interlaced mode on a Windows Vista-based computer, you may experience poor video quality. Specifically, the video output may be very jerky. You may also notice many dropped frames.

The enhanced video renderer (EVR) sends the EC_DISPLAY_CHANGED event when you play a video stream in Windows Vista

SYMPTOMS

loadTOCNode(1, 'symptoms');In Windows Vista, you play a video stream by using DirectShow and the enhanced video renderer (EVR). When an upstream filter performs a dynamic reconnection, the EVR sends the EC_DISPLAY_CHANGED event. Therefore, the other filters may stop working.

Hi,

Just wondering, is there any way to check NB temp by PC Health software from Gigabyte?

I'm running HD3200 IGPU at 950Mhz with 2 * 2Gb DDR2 1066mhz(@2.1v), there are no extra coolling and PSU is plan 300W model comes with cheap case.

I didn't raise any voltage on MB, just change the GPU memory clock from 500mhz to 950mhz as Tomshardware guide did.

So far, it's working without any problem however I'm bit worried about overheating on NB people said about.

Also is there any cost efficient cooling solution could you suggest?

Cheers

Shin

BTW I'm running 9550 QC, what would it safe margin to overclock it without any extra cooling solution but good quality PSU?

I think the Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H 780G only has 2 temperature probes.  If I look in bios it only has system and cpu temps.  If I use MBM5 it can only find 2 temperature readings.
