Recently i have changed to Unlimited plan on telecom and comes with that is a dynamic IP (Not A problem Because i use Dynamic DNS) But the main Problem is the Spam lists this is one of the main ones that causes emails to bounce

What is the best way to get away from this problem?

This is what they say to do

"Your IP address has been blocked for policy reasons [zombie,relay,bot,spam]. Please ensure you clear any unwanted emails from your queues before requesting removal. Email security@xtra.co.nz to organise delisting."

Tried to Do that And they just said they cant do it and called They said the same thing

Are you sending mail directly?  Or relaying it through Telecom's smart hosts?

Help! My IP address is on the PBL! What should I do?

 

 

 

 

 

Nothing, in most cases. Read through this FAQ for further explanations.

The first thing to know is: THE PBL IS NOT A BLACKLIST. You are not listed for spamming or for anything you have done. The PBL is simply a list of all of the world's dynamic IP space, i.e: IP ranges normally assigned to ISP broadband customers (DSL, DHCP, PPP, cable, dialup). It is perfectly normal for dynamic IP addresses to be listed on the PBL. In fact all dynamic IP addresses in the world should be on the PBL. Even static IPs which do not send mail should be listed in the PBL.

Use you ISP as a relay I'm afraid

Either relay through Telecom's services, or go on a plan/product that supports running your own mail service. Not much else you can do if the recipients mail servers are using PBL for blocking.
Preventing users willy-nilly setting up mail servers and directly delivering outbound mail is a relatively common practice to prevent an ISPs network from being a spam source.

The above posts are correct.  Using dynamic IP space to send email directly is just a no no these days.  There are plenty of companies out there offering bulk email services, or for general use, use your ISP as an SMTP smart host.

There's a reason why dynamic IPs and public IPs are generally listed: because spammers use those, or because many many machines are infected with bots spewing out spam without the owner even knowing.

Not saying YOUR machine is but they can't be certain, so these are listed and many email services will simply ignore or decline to receive emails coming from these addresses.

Do yourself a favour and use Telecom SMTP servers. Or if it's a business thing use a commercial SMTP provider. Those will have the proper mechanisms in place to make sure your emails are delivered.

I seem to recall that Telecom used to block outbound port 25 full stop, unless you filled out a form requesting an exemption which included agreeing to sending e-mail smartly and agreed to a set of addition Ts & Cs which included if caught spamming you could have your port 25 exception revoked for good.   The only condition was you had to be on a plan that allowed a static IP (metered plan, free unless you were on the cheapest plan).

Did someone at Telecom remove the firewall rule?

Note, the Telecom Unlimited plans don't allow for Static IPs full stop (according to Telecom CS) so if the Port 25 policy still exists, and you absolutely must run it yourself and you can't smarthost (which seems illogical to me) then you'd need to switch plans.
