ok so as it stands

disallow=all
allow=alaw&ulaw
type=peer
dtmfmode=rfc2833
fromdomain=pan.wxnz.net
fromuser=number with 0
host=pan.wxnz.net
insecure=invite,port
canreinvite=no
nat=yes
secret=secret
username=username
port=5070

type=peer
fromuser=09950xxxx
host=pan.wxnz.net
insecure=invite,port
canreinvite=no
nat=yes
secret=secret
username=username
port=5070

incoming calls only work when authentication string is like this

09950xxxx:secret:username@pan.wxnz.net

still have no outgoing, but incoming is crystal clear in both directions

Ok, so on that last call attempt, the INVITE we get from you has the following:

From: <sip:9950xxxx@pan.wxnz.net:5070>;

It should be:

From: <sip:09950xxxx@pan.wxnz.net:5070>;

So you are still missing a leading 0 somewhere in your configs.

PS. That's a call at 08:19AM, if you made any more outbounds since, I can't see them.

Why do you have two lots of settings? Are you using both peer and user fields? Settings are only required in peer.

You are also still using a 0 in your number. As explained this is incorrect.

NAT=yes also functions differently in newer versions of Asterisk so you need to use the appropriate option.

sbiddle, things changed since a few years ago. New numbers are using the 0, and for this user it's required they have it in.

Not sure if this helps you but these are my 2talk settings - the register sting is important should be in the format

number:password@pan.wxnz.net/number

Hi

From what I can tell everything I am sending now has a 0 in the line, please let me know if I am wrong.

Hi

2 talk is different, I am registering, that is not my problem, it is getting the authentication to dial out.
i can receive calls no problem

I still don't see any outgoing call attempts since 8:19AM this morning. Can you check any call traces from your side and see where you are sending the INVITE out?

This in incorrect. 2talk doesn't use AuthID.

The correct settings are listed above, and also on the sticky post in this thread. There are no issues with these settings.

The OP didn't have correct peer settings (didn't have user= which is the AuthID), and has left the 0 in his number which would cause it to fail.

Hey Andrei,

I can't believe this but my work mate found the setting on the router was not configured properly, I had personally read the posts about this setting but did not have access to the router to check it, I had figgured it was set as we already had office phones working. However I don't know how. All is good from here so thank you for all your help. Hopefully I will not have the same problems when I take it to site.

That is good to hear. It's always the network/firewall :)
