Yeap, it is something that your ISP has to fix. It is likely they have another user on their network sending spam, as their computer is infected with malware. That seems to be the most common reason. I wish ISPs would cease providing email . Many of the new ones don't offer it at all.

How do  you explain Rikki's post? She is not on an ISP email, yet her experience seems or implies that its not rare?

What about Xtra users? They are on ISP email, but in fact its Yahoo email, a large provider as is MS and Google

This is a common issue on vodafone due to the number of isp mergers that have taken place over the years.

One of my clients has a business DSL connection with a static ip address.

The specific ip address was an ex ihug one.

Many years ago ihug had informed sorbs that it was a dynamic one from the residential consumer pool. Vodafone had not updated the sorbs records to show that it was now in a static pool.

Anyone that ran a mailserver which blocked sources of mail from the sorbs-dynamic list would block emails from this client.

So if its on a dynamic / non-mail list, you will have to ask your ISP for another ip address.

If it is on any of their other blocklists then you just have to wait it out.

I have been master of my own destiny, and diverted outgoing mail through ICONZ which I still have an account for.

Problem = gone.
