Pumpedd:
I too am happy with FibreX, based on the price I pay. It is certainly isnt as reliable as UFB, and VF needs to acknowledge that in its advertised pricing.
I'm paying $70 per month for unlimited 200/20 + POTS phone line. UFB is not available in my street until December 2019.

Just wondering - has anyone in the Island Bay area (WHK 4(?)) recently noticed any packet loss issues on FibreX?
Looking at the chart you've posted it really doesn't look like congestion - busy times are around 9pm. Plus I'm not aware of any areas of the network that are even close to congested.

Any idea when supported VOIP will be available on the Docsis 3.1 network.

Oh wasn't necessarily suggesting congestion (despite the topic!), just interested to find out if anyone else nearby had experienced something similar.

I don’t think they need to since they have their own POTS copper network alongside the coax
I note all UFB connections are now VOIP and Spark are switching to IP and I note Sparks wireless voice offering is VOIP. Vodafone owns World Exchange.
Looks like vodafone has been "fixing" stuff again
The test never really registered higher than about 160Mb/s then magically it starts peaking higher and being even more unstable than normal

Djmixerdomo: It has been a rough ride over the past year (relatively speaking). But I think it's time to end this and cancel the service, as my contract is now up.
While I can honestly say that for the most part raw speed was great (downloading games @ 100MB/s!), I cannot say the same for reliability.
Over the past week I have been trying to backup a bunch of stuff offsite (~2TB), this shouldn't take more than a few days at most to complete but it had been running for nearly a week and was only 46% done. The cause of the slow progress was that freakn' modem, it would lock up and either have to be restarted or just left for 30mins to recover on its own.
I don't know why the modem locks up after sustained load (even when only uploading at 100Mb). I've tried to fix it by cooling it with a PC, isolating from other electronics etc. Even a replacement unit and a firmware update did nothing. I may be wrong and this could just be me doing something/using the product incorrectly but I've got Enable laying fibre outside my house and 100Mb VDSL to live off of till its live.
Goodbye FibreX, you will not be missed.
I'm the same.
I've been a customer for ages, Would have moved on a while ago if we had any option (there's not even Copper to the house) They're laying conduit in the street as we speak and I'll be killing my service as soon as actual fiber is there.
We've cut 3 of our 4 phones over to either spark or 2 degrees so far. I'll be happy to be done with them. Not even just for the failures. More the complete lack of communication, or acknowledgement that they have issues.

Technicolor modem, I use an Edgerouter lite in conjunction with it.
Me too. I got terrible performance until I read the Ubiquiti Edgerouter Tutorial.
Did you remember to enable offloading on your ERL?
Open up the Console (top right), log in with the same user name you use for the WebUI and type these directly into the terminal:
configure
set system offload ipv4 vlan enable
set system offload ipv4 pppoe enable
commit
save
exit

I definitely have hardware NAT offloading enabled, I'm able to get some sick speeds. It's just that after some seemingly random length of time (while under load) the Technicolor modem will lock up and need to be power cycled or if I'm not around, say, out of the house I takes half an hour to fix itself.

TBH the technicolor cable modem has been fine for me, but I've noticed it's lost connection to the cable nodes and still thought it was connected (IP Address assigned but no path). One restart later and it's been fine.
The device is paired with a router gratefully supplied by our glorious leader of the revolution Tovarishch freitas, who is currently enjoying a bourgeoisie experience, and things are working fine.
thanks for responding.
