Chiefie, have you been using your apple routers to also connect a bunch of wired devices into your home LAN?

Save yourself follow up hassles later. When Mr Downer phones up to provision your connection, make sure they give you a static IP then.

My connection has been good. I've had one power cycle of the technicolor modem in the ~2 months I've had FibreX. I don't use the Huawei router though.

Nope, mine seems fine. Correct discounts seem to be applied and I got the $100 credit for missing the three day deadline. Though somehow I seem to have been incredibly lucky and the new bill is almost exactly (1 day off) my normal billing cycle. So no adjustments for part months.

It seems I spoke to soon. My first FibreX bill was fine. My second FibreX bill was all over the place with all sorts of weird and wonderful part and full month charges and (missing) discounts. Like @adimw, my on account mobile $10 a month discount had disappeared. Rather amusingly, the CSR had to ask what I was supposed to be paying - all the various discounts available seem to confuse them too.

Credit where credit is due, it all seems to be sorted now. Though I do kinda have a feeling that the revised bill amount was an arbitrary figure designed to circumvent actually having to figure out the right pro rating for the part month charges and discounts.

That's funny, because I called Vodafone this morning about my missing $100 credit and they said it would be automatically applied on my next bill if the system determined I was meant to receive it. I suspect I'll be calling them again in a month.

I'm about to move to a house with a fibre connection - does anyone know if Vodafone will keep me on fibreX if it's available at the property or will I be auto-switched to fibre?

And I have just got the FibreX Max installed, however, now I need to configure the HG659 to operate as Bridge but I can't seem to get to login using admin/password @ 192.168.1.1?

Just remember that the Apple kit has real performance limits in routing mode - another user pointed that it. Maxes at 300mbps apparently. Google it.

The admin password is Vodafone and @last 8 digits of your serial number

My airports are bridged.... be interested in seeing what success you get (bloody vlan10 support.... honestly, talk about forcing your costs up)

username Admin and the password "@"and the last eight digits of your modem serial number. E.g. if your modem serial number is ABC0987654321 your password will be @87654321
