Why remove it in the first place?

surely a simple jackpoint on the wall for each isn't going to hurt you, and come when you eventually move, sell, pass it on or whatever removing could be a spot of an issue for anyone else.

We removed all the internal cabling already.

The over heads look awful and are both obsolete networks. The ufb will run on the fence line.

The over heads also cause tree issues and problems when I wanted skips delivered (not that skips will be much of a future problem).

in that case, wouldnt it be best to get copper removed (or replaced with hybird) when the fibre is actually installed.

If it's on your property, remove it yourself up to your property boundary.

Don't think you're allowed to do that to a carrier network

Lol...

You're quite right in suggesting that no one will notice or care if i just down the lines, coil them up and tie them back to the pole....

I was simply asking if theres a known process. Based on response so far im going to guess not.

I'm sorry but guess this comment is very miss-leading in that case.

Ya sorry...

I think i clarified.

....if i sold today you would install fibre if you didn't keep the wireless. You wouldn't be likely to use the copper networks.

But im not planning on selling. Im looking to clean up my yard

Plenty of people would use the copper networks if they moved into a place and they were available. If you are not adding UFB now, then the copper should remain. Feel free to get rid of that cable network tho.

my point exactly.

copper is atleast a redundant path..

I do have to ask though, if you copper is overhead, how is your power supplied?

For what it's worth, I had overhead copper but underground power.

The power is over head too but to a different location so it's not actually in the way.

I thought you'd be super keen for the extra redundancy? You could have Fibre, Cable, xDSL and a few mobile data connections for extra measure:)

Lol...

I don't really understand hfc. It struck me as a good cheap technology but my personal experience has been endless observations of fail in three networks.
