My Snap VDSL upgrade will be going live on Monday... hopefully I can max the connection just like my ADSL. Currently my ADSL2+ syncs at 23.6mbps down so should be good :)

I'm not sure, but here are my stats since going onto DLM-1: As you can see my error rate is pretty high, but the connection seems solid and it's been up over a week since DLM moved it to the current configuration.
What I would like to know is what conditions are required for DLM to switch to the 17a profile. Has this happened for anyone?
My internal wiring is not great - no splitter, about 20-30m of standard phone cable from the ETP to the jack the Fritz!Box is plugged in to, and there is another jack (unused) in between. But I'm still getting basically max sync for 8b so I don't want to spend money rewiring unless there is a good chance I'd go onto the 17a profile.
When did it last re-sync? I would say that if anyhting you should go higher up the DLM scale (more conservative). I believe your SNR is about as low as it can get and is borderline dropping the link. Probably why you have Bitswap ON for both Upload and Download and a high error count.
If you have a naked DSL line (which I think is almost mandatory with VDSL2), then you could check if your phone socket outlets don't have and capacitors or termination resistors if you didn't want to spend money on the actual cabling.
SAMF: In your primary Post for this topic you suggested that the Fritz!Box SNR was teh 'target' and not the 'actual'. Did you ever verify this? I would say it is the actual, one reason being it gets logged on the chart along with the errors and resyncs, and you wouldn't normally chart something that was a 'target' - but that's just my opinion. Or was that what NAPSTAR was talking about when discussing those firmware hacks?
How close can you get the theoretical upload speed? We have an actual data rate of 10340 but on speedtest we get just on 6Mbps up. Our down speed seems pretty good, 20Mbps down on actual rate of 23Mbps.
SKYMAX: It's been up since the 25th. Prior to that it was on DLM-2. The errors were much lower, but the sync was lower too: Current throughput: 45688 kbit/s (receive direction) 10344 kbit/s (send direction) Line attenuation: 4 dB (receive direction) 4 dB (send direction) Signal-to-noise ratio: 12 dB (receive direction) 19 dB (send direction) This is from the daily email, I'm not sure why upstream shows 4db in the email but "-" on the webpage but it's always been like that.
The wiring here is all 2 wire. I haven't checked either of the jackpoints to see if they have the ringing capacitor. Are the jackpoints a more likely source of interference than the length of unshielded, untwisted cable?
Anyway as I said I'm not going to get significant extra speed on it unless DLM puts me on the 17a profile. So I'd really like to see some other people who have been put on 17a by DLM before I worry too much about the wiring here.
kiwitrc: I get very close to the theoretical limit. Consistently 44.95Mbps down and 9.44Mbps up to an Auckland server.
I know it used to be the case that Chorus would put you on 17a manually if your line was good enough and your ISP requested it, but they are not doing that any more and a couple of people here have reported that Chorus are now saying that the only way to get it is for DLM to do it. So what are the line characteristics required for DLM to move a connection to 17a? Has it happened for anyone?
