Got MGS. Good game although the keyboard layout sucks for the PC. Designed for a controller. Cant remap keys to what i want.

Bugger, if I had waited one more day! I bought it at steam prices, and so far hardly impressed! The 45 minute opener is painful, and half my gaming night had dissapeared before I had even got into the game for real. The controls are odd, no mouse really.

Hopefully it improves significantly.

I'm 45 hours into MGSV, it has consumed my life :P I've never played a Metal Gear game before other than Ground Zeroes which I definitely recommended to play first.

It does improve significantly after the lengthy tutorial though I still enjoyed the weirdness of it all. Once you get to the open world (took me almost an hour) it feels like a different game.

Besides the freedom there is in how you can tackle the missions if you get creative, one thing I particularly love is how there is a slow trickle of new features which continue to unlock as you progress. Unlike other games which show you everything they have to offer then have you repeat it over and over.

Mad Max looks cool, like Shadow of Mordor or the Batman Arkham games, I'll probably pick it up later when I have time to play it!

played 5 hours of mad max so far, ive enjoyed those 5 hours, no clue if i will hate it after 20 hours though, people say it gets tedious. but so far so good, i should probably play MGSV GZ first...

I'm about 20 hours into Mad Max. Can confirm, it does get a bit tedious. But there is something about upgrading my car that keeps me coming back for more. The story has lost me and now spend my time driving around and beating people up.

Going to give it a rest now and try out metal gear solid (Cheers for that cheap trademe link!)

I also think it will get better when people start invading your base online and you can try to invade theirs.

Phantom Pain is a very good game, plays very well, only downside is that the MGS universe has a very convoluted story, so newcomers beware as it can get complicated!

29 hours into Mad Max, I'm not rushing through it, just taking my time and enjoying it. Its not were near as empty as the reviews made it out to be, I'm always running into bad guys to kill, new camps to destroy etc. I think its a very good game.

Regarding mgs' story being confuisng, i think a reviewer said it when he stated that at this point, because the story is so bonkers, the basic difference between a person new to the story and a person who is a veteran to MG's is that the newcomer will say I don't understand what's happening, whereas the veteran will say I still don't understand what's happening.

The gameplay is very good, well worth being confused by the story.
