Did you do it on the PS5 itself, down to preorders? (Store -> scroll to preorders). I see both options, story mode was def $17.49 for me. You might just have the online edition which was free?

Thanks. I am not sure if it just wasn't showing on my console the night before, but searching GTA or Grand Theft did not show me the pre-order but when I manually went to pre-orders it was there and I was able to buy it.

Cheers for the reply.

...I've been back on with Cities Skylines.   Just trying to get expansion happening, and keeping transport options from choking the city.

I was only made aware of this game last night. As a SimCity player from way, way back how does it compare? I loved SimCity 4, didn't like the 2013 edition (barely played it), but how does it compare? I'm watching a tutorial video and it looks interesting.

It's a pity about the 2013 Simcity game, basically killed off the SimCity line 🙁

Cities Skylines is next level from Simcity, especially when you can play a modded version and download a tonne of assets/mods from the steam workshop which allows you to really customize the game and make it that extra step more realistic.

Its currently free on EPIC Games

Still plodding along in Elden Ring. It's annoying because there are so many places I can go and so many I haven't discovered yet, and meanwhile the place where I think I'm 'supposed' to be is much tougher than I'd expect. At the same time I'm trying to play 'blind' so I don't want to search for tips! Maybe if I haven't made any meaningful progress after the weekend...

It's good, but with mods and stuff it is very easy to get it over what your PC can handle and it runs like crap.

Free?? Can you please provide a link? I was going to ask if there was a free demo available but you've answered my question - and thanks for the comparison info 👍

I recently received some vouchers from work so I purchased Horizon Forbidden West along with Gran Turismo 7. Haven't even started HFW though as GT7 has become a bit of a family game. I also picked up Cyberpunk 2077 for PS4 recently due to the PS5 upgrade and I play that a little but, but don't get enough time to play all around.

All comments are my own opinion, and not that of my employer unless explicitly stated.

I started playing it when the PS5 version came out. Enjoyable enough, but it went on the back-burner when Elden Ring came along. I need to get a bigger TV though; the text in Cyberpunk is tiny and I only have a 32" TV, which of course is a few metres from the couch. I can read it but it's not enjoyable.

Thanks very much, I've got it and installing it now (also thanks @networkn). I did search but could only find a paid link to buy it, for about $60, so this will be great to see what it's like. I have high hopes but let's see 🤞

Edit: I've never used Epic Games - do you need to run it via their launcher every time? I guess I'm used to having physical media or a file you download and install (and run) locally.

This is the tutorial I've been watching and it looks really interesting. Can anyone who's played the game please comment on its accuracy?

That's what I was trying to ask, sorry. It looks a helluva lot like SimCity, but after years of playing 4, I'm up for something different.

I'll finish watching the tutorial and then give it a crack.

i would just try and play vanilla with out any mods and try and get some of the achievements on the maps. then look into see if there are any mods that would help your game.

Ive also found increasing virtual memory helps if you dont have a heap of system ram.

Okay, played it for about an hour. Very interesting! The controls will take some getting used to for me however - I'm fully used to Simcity 4 and kept using the right mouse button to move around the map, only to find it didn't do anything.

I couldn't figure out how to change the view from black and white to colour with all the houses etc displayed. I noticed that happened after using the right mouse button - at least, I think it was. Any tips?

I'll definitely be back to play again, I think once I get my head around the controls it could be quite enjoyable.

Edit: how do I increase the virtual memory? I did find the performance a little sluggish at times, although my system has 8GB - would this not be enough?
